About Fenton Photography

Fenton Photography was formed from the combination of three generations of work; my present work, and a stock of excellent images produced by my late father and grand-father who were also extremely able photographers.
With my knowledge of natural history, nature conservation and historical artefacts stemming from a family background where both parents were keen conservationists and historians. My interest and flare for photography developed from the need to record the natural world and similarly historical artefacts which could soon be lost for ever.

Prehaps because growing up with all manual cameras, this function is one I prefer; even though owning cameras which offer auto focus and programed exposure control.  Starting out with my Zenit E, when aged 7,  has given me many years to get it right!.

There follows 'wildlife' and 'historical' portfolios which contain images of my work, and one entitled 'recent work' which documents recently completed projects and assignments.

Photographers Biography

From working for English Nature (then the Nature Conservancy Council) as the Species Protection Officer for the eastern region, responsible for bats.

I continued my work with the organisation in a voluntary role, as a Bat Warden whilst working for Her Majesty's Stationery Office as a Systems Training Officer and finally as a Managing Editor in HMSO's publishing division; now TSO Publishing.

I have continued my work with bats both as a voluntary Bat Warden, and in 2001 started this company combining my passion for photography and conservation, along with providing a consultancy service on bats covering my home county Norfolk.
